Authenticity

It is the question that matters in pre-owned, and it deserves a concrete answer, not a stamp.

What we do say

Some pieces come with a report issued by a specialised independent laboratory. When they do, the piece page says so and the document travels with the piece. That document is in the laboratory's name, not ours, and it is what counts if you ever need to defend it to a buyer, an insurer or a platform.

We do not send it by message before handover. A report circulating on its own is exactly what someone making a copy needs.

What we do not say

We do not issue reports of our own and we will not tell you a piece is authentic on our say-so. We have no laboratory and we do not pretend to. When a piece carries no document, the page carries no document: we do not fill that gap with a reassuring word.

If you want a report

We arrange it with an independent laboratory, on the piece you choose, and hand you the result exactly as issued, unaltered. It is explained under Verification, with cost and turnaround.

The analysis is a technical opinion on what could be examined. It can confirm the piece or fail to confirm it, and when a service cannot confirm it the result says exactly that: not identified.

Condition

Each piece's condition is published on a short, constant scale, the same for every piece, so you can compare one with another without translating anyone's vocabulary. When we do not have the detail, the page says so instead of guessing.

If something is not as described

If you receive a piece and something does not match its page, write to us. We take it off the catalogue while we look into it and resolve it with you. We would rather lose a sale than stand behind a description that was not exact.
